Hello eben1990,... One thing about God is that He is sovereign. That simply means He can choose to do what He wants to do and nobody can stand against Him. Paul addresses this issue of God's sovereignty extensively in Romans 9. We all would have wished that the devil was destroyed at the beginning of time before he could do any damage but then God CHOSE to wait. IT IS HIS TIMING. Look at this scripture...... “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord . “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT I believe we should trust His WAYS because I know that He knows the end from the beginning. He is the God of all wisdom. We may not know exactly why He choose to keep the devil alive till now but then we must trust that He knows exactly what He is doing. And whatever the case might be, it is the best decision no matter what we think. That's faith in God.
