Hello all.. I am new here.. I am a believer in the Lord but I am not as yet baptized. I however do wish to be baptized some time in the near future. I am young just in my second year of college. I am in a relationship neither of us are baptized, so what I wanted to ask were your views on the situation as God fearing individuals. I want to know what are your views being in a intimate relationship if you are baptized but not as yet married.

Baptized, not married and engaging in intimate relationship is unlawful to God. Remember also that our bodies are the temple of God. 1Co 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (read from 1 corinthians 3:16 & 17)

Hello Neika Just as Sapphire said, according to the scriptures being in an intimate relationship is not an option to be considered by a believer if you are not married to the person unless of course I am misunderstanding your definition of intimate relationship. Any form of sexual act or implication- sex, kissing, etc is STRICTLY PROHIBITED for a christian if you are not married to the other party. God created sex but He meant it to be used in the marriage setting not outside of it. So He said Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4 NKJV
This because fornicators and adulterers defile the 'marriage bed'. Having any form of sexual relations with your partner before marriage is formication which is sin in God's eyes.
Concerning the issue of baptism, it is the will of God that we are baptised.....so it would be prudent that you guys get baptised as soon as possible. God loves you so much. God bless you.☺

Hey i think if you both love each other and both want to love god.. then get married! when you get baptised its about repenting all the sin in your life..so if you get married you wont be living in sin.. is your partner a christian to ?. Because marrige could be very difficult if he wasnt.. i was in a similar situation with a guy who didnt have faith.. we were intimate i thought he would marry me but he didnt.. All i can say is love God first he will provide the rest
